Make a Solar Cooker and Learn to Use It!

Whether you want to be prepared for hot meals when the power is out, to reduce your energy costs, or just take it camping, solar cooking can be an answer.

With some basic materials you bring and some we provide, you'll make your own cooker during this workshop.

We'll have several models on display for you to study, and several out cooking while you work.  The food will be ready to taste before you leave.

Cooking instructions and sample recipes will be provided.  When you register you'll be sent a detailed list of supplies to bring.

(Nothing expensive! Pot with lid, cooler, aluminum foil, cardboard, tape, knife.)

If you need more details before you register, contact the instructor Mary Keith through the Contact the Host link on this page.

The class is free, but a $5 donation will be requested at the door to cover the cost of the other materials we'll supply and the food we'll prepare.
